The weeks just keep going by quicker and quicker.  On tuesday night & all wednesday my comp was throwing up so we stayed home for the first time since I have been here.  In theory it sound nice but it was quite dreadful not working. Probably one of the slowest days of my life.  He has since recovered and we are back to the grind 💪😋💯.

Before the mission, my good friend FrankAG put me on a music artist named Junior H. The style of music is called  "corrido (Spanish pronunciation: [koˈrið̞o]) is a popular narrative metrical tale and poetry that forms a ballad. Songs are often about oppression, history, daily life for criminals, the vaquero lifestyle, and other socially relevant topics.[1]" (wikipedia).  There are a few songs that I really like including "La Bestia" and "Mente Positiva".  Unfortunately as a missionary I am only permitted to listen to hymns and any other songs found in the gospel library.  I miss Junior H so much that I literally dream of his music.  The good thing about mexico is everyone likes to play their music loud, so I am really not missing out.  I think Junior H is more popular in Mexico City cause I have not heard many people listening to his music here in Oaxaca.  But something wonderous happened last night.  I laid down for bed and was SO close to falling asleep. I heard the beautiful cords to La Bestia and knew a great dream was about to occur.  That was until I realized it wasnt a dream, it was our landlord listening to Junior H!  I stayed up just enjoying his queue of corridos. Felt so nice to be able to hear some familiar music again hahaha.  Ate lots of pozole this week and tacos de al pastor.  I didnt take too many pictures but here are some with explanation:

tom

the story of tom is kinda funny, kinda sad.  me and my companion were in CD Yagul once again.  We saw these little girls chasing this dog with a chain and a leash.  We decided to help them catch their dog.  My comp caught the dog and held him for the little girl to put the leash on.  They told us his name was tom and then they started on there way home. the story doesnt end there.  Tom dragged these little girls along the road into a pole eventually right back out of there grasps.  So we wrangled tom back up and I walked him back home.
