Que lo que todos!!!
Almost done with the MTC! I'll be headed to Oaxaca on Monday morning and I am soooo ready to be there. I need some real food 🥴. The days here have been very repetitive but I have learned sooo much. The past two weeks me and my companions have had the opportunity to serve as zone leaders over 4 districts. It's been so awesome to welcome the new missionaries and become amigos w them.
I met 2 missionaries both from Mexico that are leaving the same day to Oaxaca as me. One of them being Elder Niembro. Elder Niembro has the complexity of a white guy, blonde hair, blue eyes. But doesnt speak a lick of English. He is from Mexico and his parents came from Spain and France. As I was asking him about whether or not people assume he's American, somebody walked up to us and asked him in English if he had an extra choir paper 😭🤣 he's in the last picture attached
My companions have been doing a great job at getting me to bed on time. E Finlinson recites full episodes of Better Call Saul before bed and E Bott practices hypnosis on us & I swear it actually puts me to sleep hahaha.
Right now, I miss my family, all my buddies, my skateboard, and my puppy. But, I am so happy to be in Mexico and I know I'm in the right place. I look forward to all my adventures in the upcoming 23 months. I have felt God's hand in my life immensely since being here. It has truly been a blessing to be surrounded by the people and missionaries at the CCM.
Here's a list of my favorite things from the CCM/MXC that I think I will miss the most
- my district as a whole ❤
- night time talks with my companions
- all the bird noises during the day & the crickets at night
- the constant explosions in the distance
- the graffiti in the city
- being with 500 other missionaries
- my branch presidency
With the CCM being as good as it was, I have no doubt in my mind that I will have an even BETTER experience in Oaxaca. Wish me luck in this upcoming week.
xoxo
